Everything to know before you step onto the Megaformer.
Getting Started
Lagree is a low-impact, high-intensity method that blends strength, cardio, and core work into one slow, controlled workout. Constant muscle tension builds real strength without stressing your joints or spine. People often search for this style of training as reformer Pilates or strength Pilates, but Lagree is its own method: more intense, more effective, and you’ll feel it after one class.
Yes. Our certified instructors coach you through the machine and adjust every move to your pace and strength level, so it’s challenging but doable from day one. Expect to shake. That’s normal, and it means it’s working.
You’ll feel the difference right away. Lagree uses equipment similar to reformer Pilates, but the constant tension and higher intensity make it a full-body strength workout, not just a toning class. It’s still low-impact and joint-friendly, just a lot more effective.
Lagree is generally safe for pregnant and postpartum clients, but always talk to your doctor and get their approval before your first class. Certain moves should be avoided or modified, so let your instructor know beforehand and they’ll guide you through safe alternatives. The same goes for any injury: check with your doctor, then tell your instructor so they can adjust the workout for you.
Wear form-fitting activewear and grip socks. Feel free to bring water. We provide towels and everything else to help you feel fresh after class.
Yes, grip socks are non-negotiable for safety and hygiene on the Megaformer. Purchase LFL grip socks at the studio, or bring your own.
The Studio Experience
We’re the only officially licensed Lagree studio in Greater Boston, with 8 Megaformers in an upscale, boutique space. Every class stays small and hands-on, with real coaching instead of crowd control.
With only 8 machines, instructors can actually correct your form and coach you individually. You’re never lost in a crowd, and you’ll recognize the same faces every week.
The Method & Machine
The Megaformer is Lagree’s patented training machine, and it isn’t a traditional reformer. Adjustable resistance and dual dynamic platforms create constant tension that works your whole body at once, so you get a deeper, more efficient burn with no rest between moves.
For the best results, aim for 3–4 classes a week. Even once or twice a week builds strength, definition, and endurance. Consistency matters more than frequency. Stick with it and you’ll feel the change.
Policies & Logistics
The minimum age is 16. If you’re 16 or 17, a parent or guardian must also be registered for and actively taking the same class with you. At 18, you can attend on your own. For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the liability waiver before class.
You must cancel at least 12 hours before class starts, through the app or your online account. A late cancel results in a fee and a loss of credit. A no-show results in a fee and a loss of credit. Penalties can vary slightly by package. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
